Dmitriy Yakubovich was endorsed by Broward County Professional Firefighters and Paramedics because of his dedication to protecting the residents of Hallandale Beach and those that serve to protect others.
“In our moment of need, our firefighters and paramedics are there for us. They serve our community with distinction and they are paramount to the safety and wellbeing of our residents. The brave men and women of Local 4321 are heroes, and it is an honor to earn their support.
My campaign platform has, in large part, centered around public safety issues. It is what separates me from my main opponent. Earning the endorsement of our Firefighter and Paramedic Union helps validate my vision for the future of Hallandale Beach.
I deeply believe that public safety is the most important function of local government. It ensures residents’ safety and well being as well as protection of properties, organizations and local businesses. Public safety is vital to the prosperity of our community and is essential for other improvements in our city.”
MESSAGE TO RESIDENTS OF HALLANDALE
Dear Hallandale Beach Residents,
My name is Dmitriy Yakubovich and I am a candidate for Hallandale Beach City Commission in Seat 4. I have been a resident of this community since 2007 and over the past few years, I have become closely involved in the matters of our city in my capacity as President of the Beach Club Condominium Association, the largest residential taxpayer in the city with a combined annual budget of $20,000,000 and population of nearly 6,000 residents.
I deeply believe that public safety is the most important function of local government. It ensures residents’ safety and well being as well as protection of properties, organizations and local businesses. Public safety is vital to the prosperity of our community and is essential for other improvements in our city.
During my campaign, I have met so many Hallandale Beach residents with backgrounds similar to mine. We are a diverse community, a community of immigrants. Like many of our residents, I too am an immigrant.
I was born in a socialist / communist country, and I am forever grateful to my parents for bringing me to the United States. My family immigrated to this country without a penny in our pockets. I learned the language, worked multiple jobs, graduated from college, and today I own and operate a family business.
Looking back on the past, I can say it was a challenging but rewarding journey. It was a journey that gave me invaluable experience that I will use to give back to the country and the community that gave me, and immigrants like me, so many opportunities.
I believe our city leaders need to adopt a businesslike approach. We need business expertise to address issues including our budget deficit and the oversight of tax dollars. I do not believe that our local government should provide an employment platform for ineffective career politicians such as my opponent whose campaign is financed by special interest groups.
I have a Residents First approach and I will work for all Hallandale Beach residents! It’s time for a New Leadership in Hallandale!
The Broward County Professional Firefighters and Paramedics are proud to support Dmitriy Yakubovich for Hallandale Beach City Commissioner and we ask for your support.
